KingFisher Fitness has a focus on overall wellbeing. This includes physical fitness, nutrition, and mental wellbeing. Ronnie believes that the mind and body are intrinsically linked, and that overall wellbeing is achieved through physical training, proper nutrition, and building mental resilience.

Ronnie was born in and spent most of his formative years in Canada. Here Ronnie completed his culinary education and began an extensive culinary career. In 2010, Ronnie moved to Christchurch with a goal to go skiing and surfing in the same day. In Christchurch, Ronnie met his lovely wife and now has two beautiful children.

Personal trainers can be really intimidating - Ronnie, on the other hand, is super friendly and SO patient. He's made getting back into exercise after a break I shouldn't have taken, so much easier! He's super motivating and he makes you push yourself but in such a way you don't even realise you're doing it. For anyone feeling nervous about going to a gym/seeing a trainer (or anyone just needing a good push), Ronnie is the man to help you.


Being over the age of 60, I thought I was to old to start going to the gym, as I didn't know the first thing about it. I asked about a personal trainer and was recommended Ronnie Fisher, Ronnie made it so easy, firstly listening to what I wanted to achieve then teaching me what I needed to do and how to use the equipment at the gym. Making me feel at ease. Being patient with me as I'm not the fastest at learning...I recommend Ronnie 100%.


Thanks to Ronnie’s guidance, experience and support in abundance, my personal achievements to date have been an increase on the leg press machine from a modest 30kg (my go-to for years) up to 115kg and hand held bar weighted at 17.5kg to a 32.5kg bench press (get out of here) and a treadmill incline of 1.5 (another go-to) up to 3.5 at a pace of 5.2 on the treadmill without breaking a sweat or getting shin splints (never ever would have done this before my journey with Ronnie).
I’m looking forward to my next achievements with Ronnie because his style and technique helps to keep me motivated and extend beyond my ‘norm’. I highly recommend Ronnie as a personal trainer.
